When I need to slap a camera on a motorcycle or ATV, for a 8 hour ride a DSLR doesn't work. I don't also want to bring my Zoom F8 to setup to capture baseline audio. That's too much when the internal mic can be improved to give a bit more depth and clarity, or I can quickly plug in a cable to get the sound from another source, quickly and easily, without a poorly designed dongle.

I think I'm going to keep my eye on the new Sony RX0. Looks promising, and a example of what can be done in this form factor if you look at where the market is going and jump on it.

Large sensor, good sounding audio out of the box, filters and wide angle lens adaptability, and log mode recording. It's a bit more coin to get in the game, but until now no one has pushed this form factor to this level. I might be willing to pay for it once I see some real footage being used from it.

The RX0 could be the competition needed to push GP to think about what's next on the H7 feature list. Only time will tell.

I'm going to wait for generation 2 or 3 to see where they go with it, and where GoPro goes with their offerings as well.

The only way I know how to view 1080/240

I been using gopro since the hero 4 silver to black to 4 to 5 to 6. One IMPORTANT thing that i am not happy about with the 6 is that its got 4k/60 and 1080/240 which is USELESS because no editor program recognizes the high frame rate files. Not studio not Adobe premiere Pro cc. So what we have here is 6 with SOME upgrades over the 5 my favs are audio, stabilizer. I am very disappointed that we can't even use the high FPS

The only way I have found to view 1080/240 is on my iPhone 7. I load it into iMovie then I can watch it. Too much trouble.
