Is the Hero Plus history?

I've got an obviously old Hero Plus. I also have a newer 10 Black that I play around with. I wanted to sell the Hero Plus since I don't use it any longer but I can't get it to connect to my PC to look at whats on the SD card. Looks like there is no longer any software support from GoPro for the camera either. Is my only option to use an SD card reader to view & transfer files from the camera? Sorry if this is old news but I did a search and didn't find anything.

Yes, the GoPro Hero Plus is an older model that was released in 2015 and is no longer supported by GoPro. As a result, the software support for this camera has been discontinued, and you may not be able to connect it to your PC or transfer files using the GoPro software.

You can transfer files from the camera by using an SD card reader as your last resort to check data and transfer what's useful to you on your computer without needing the GoPro software.

Once you've transferred the files from the camera, you can sell the GoPro Hero Plus or keep it as a backup camera. While it may not have the latest features and capabilities of newer models, it can still capture good quality video and photos for basic use.
