GP2 Startup issues

Hey folks, we have a few GP2's and most are pretty good.

BUT, 1 of them seems to be possessed by the devil!

When you power it up, it jumps straight into video mode, and power button ceases to work.

However, if you hit the video start button, it actually works, until you hit the stop button, where the camera powers down.

Have tried different sd cards, swapped batteries, tried holding both buttons, but no joy.

Any ideas?

1 Button mode...

sounds like your camera is in 1 button mode... Read through your manual or visit the support page on gopro.com The mode is useful when you use a certain mode and only want to use that mode all the time...


I don't use it... I like to have options... But you can stop the camera from doing that....

+1. go into settings, and

+1. go into settings, and more find 1 up and turn off.

that feature when on will start when cam is on. from the turn on countabout 8 secs. its recording.
