My new project requires 30-60min recording time @4k so before I start doing some recording I would like advice on what is simply the best SD card to use with the GP9? I'm currently using a 128gb SanDisk Extreme Pro, but I do get the occasional corrupt file when recording at 4k, so if possible I'd like to know if there is a better card to use? Thank you.

The SanDisk 'Extreme' is the first recommended card by GoPro, and it's the 'free' card that comrs with a GoPro if you buy one from GoPro.
It appears the 'extreme' is a newer model than the extreme pro, and it has better specs. At you 30-60 minute session, a 64gb card would be plenty. I get ~45-50 minutes out of my 32gb card using 4k/60fps/wide.

I have always had the best results with SanDisk Extreme, film at 4k 60fps mainly and it is spot on. I have a couple of 128gb ones, not super cheap but well worth it.
Sandisk Extreme Pro is the best card out there for any GoPro camera. SanDisk Extreme V30 UHS-I could be an option, as GoPro has always recommended this card only.
Another option you can try is Lexar cards or any repair tool to fix your corrupt files.

Thank you for the comments, is there different models of the "SanDisk Extreme Pro" ? This is only 25.00, is this the right one I should be using? Thx.
For gopro, a high speed sd card is must for 4k. look for UHS-I OR UHS-II with v30 speed, like sandisk extreme or samsung evo plus. Btw, pictures of show cocker with 4k are crazy!
