I am getting a very strange purple tint and odd halftone effect with the still images used to produce a time lapse with my GoPro Hero2. I tried this at 10Mb and at 8Mb and the same thing happened. When I first saw the problem at 10Mb, I thought it might be the resolution, and ran a test at 8Mb that seemed to be okay. But the next time I tried it at 8Mb I got the purple halftone again.

Here is what I am talking about. Does this look familiar?

me too, purple bands in some photos

Yes, I just got my GoPro and have used it twice. First time I took video and it worked great. 2nd time I tried time lapse photos. Not all my photos are corrupted, but more than 1 in 10 photos have purple tinting in bands across the photo. I've seen memory cards and low charge batteries suggested as causes. Another possibility for me was that it was very hot outside where I had the camera. It eventually shut itself down, I'm not sure if it was because of low battery or because of heat.
