I've tried following the directions in the GoPro user manual, but I'm unable to pair the remote with the GoPro camera.

This is what I've done:

* Turned on the wireless on the side button on the camera
* Entered the Wireless controls menu, selecting Remote, and then selecting New
* Turned on the Wireless remote using the Power/Mode button. When the wireless icon starts pulsating in the display, I press and hold the red circle button, then clicking and releasing the Power/Mode button, but nothing happens.

Is this a wrong procedure? I've just updated to the newest firmware, but it did not seem to help with the Remote pairing (the iPhone remote works nicely, though).

All help is greatly appreciated!

Hmm. The camera also seems very unstable. Right now it won't turn itself on again, nothing appears, but a small red light in the upper left corner of the back side of the camera glows. Taking out the battery for 10s does not seem to work either.

in the case of the wireless

in the case of the wireless remote, press the wifi button at the side of your gopro. in the menu, select the Wi-Fi RC on your gopro, then select new. make sure that it shows the =>/<= on the lcd. now get your wireless remote. do not turn it on, just press O + the power button and it will automatically turn on into search mode. it will also show the =>/<=. wait for it to get paired.

HTH!

Any chance you have an Apple

Any chance you have an Apple iphone/ipod/ipad ?

I've found it MUCH easier to run the camera with the iphone, instead of the stupid remote.

In hindsight, I probably should have gotten two H3 white cameras for what I paid for the black edition. I don't use or need the extra resolution or the remote.
