I might be going up in a single engine aircraft to video a wind turbine project and surrounding areas. I did this once before with a regular digital camera, holding the camera out an open window. The audio was just annoying wind noise. Now that I have a GoPro 8, would putting it in the dive case mitigate most of the wind noise? Or, are there other options? Thanks.

There are different possibilities:
1.) Wind filter ON and camera in a submersible housing (will soften the wind noise but not eliminate it)
2.) In the post-production turn off the sound and dubbing
3.) Camera in the MediaMod and a wireless microphone (e.g. Rode Wireless Go) - then you can document without any wind noise right away during the recording.

Agree on No. 3 youcan replicate wind by doing it in a car and you get the answer you are looking for, Use a sound recorder and synch clips, if you are doing video, I suggest a DSLR with a zoom lens for close up. gopro is not that dSLR

Thanks for the tips! I'll use what I have (dive case) and see how that works.
