SD card no longer works

I took a video today and was able to upload the video to my cloud storage. I then wanted to copy the video to my computer but I keep getting a message saying I have to format the SD card before I can use it and it's no showing there's anything on it. I put it back in my camera and was going to try and format in the camera but now I get a message saying SD error. I went into Preference and tried to format it but it says there's nothing on the SD card so I tried to use it in the camera but it says the SD card is busy. Did my camera destroy my SD card?

Which version of GoPro are you using? Try a process of elimination to find the problem. Install a cheap 16gb or 32gb SD card, do a quick test video, and see how that works.

I have a GoPro Hero 11. I tried another sd card that's pretty old and all it said was it may not be fast enough and I should switch to a newer card but it did work anyways.

If you got the vid to the Cloud, its there to download, in the mean time full format the card.

It sounds like your SD card may be facing a failure or corruption. I would suggest to check the error-checking tools like chkdsk or drive error check from File Explorer. Also, before formatting, read this article as this explains some genuine solutions.
