After a couple of trials on groomed terrain, I took my scorpion mount off-piste today with a little sidecountry run at Alpine Meadows, California.

As you'll see, I needed to angle the cam up a few degrees more to get the mount hardware out of the frame, but overall, I'm pretty happy with the results. It will be great on the super deep days, especially in the trees (I may modify it further to lower the mount so as to reduce the likelihood of hanging up in low branches).

On other notes, the wi-fi remote worked perfectly, and I'm continuing to be pleased with the use of a polarizing filter in bright conditions.

That's pretty sweet. How much

That's pretty sweet. How much trouble is it to get on and off? I'd be interested in using a setup like that for coonhunting and hiking. I'd be worried about the terrain; going up and down creek & river banks, hills & hollows, or thick brush could be a problem. When coonhunting, sometimes I have to get in and out of a vehicle a little too often.
