For you soccer fans out here, GoPro teamed up with Manchester City FC when they came stateside for exhibition matches this summer. They shot first person video during training and excellent pitch side shots during the exhibition matches.

This could be a big part of broadcasting going forward. GoPro already plays a huge part in action/adventure/extreme/motor sports, it may be time for GoPro to infiltrate the "traditional" sports as well.

They use Go Pro in a lot of reality shows to show first person perspective of the different challenges. I think that the Go Pro could be used in the same way to really add to sports broadcasting.

That's what Im noticing a lot too, it's probably the best way to capture that sort of view in the highest quality possible. The next step up would be a DSLR with video capabilities and that would be just way too heavy
