I've only had my GoPro for two weeks and I'm noticing bizarre behavior. I'm getting pink lines in my images. The camera freezes up occasionally and none of the buttons function (the LCD screen locks up - I cannot get it to change modes). I have to remove/replace the battery to get the camera to function normally - but then it locks up again after a few minutes. Also, there is a "1" to the right of the battery icon on the LCD. I've searched the user manual and the Internet for answers... I've found nothing. Could anyone explain these issues? What does the "1" mean?

More pink line images can be found here: http://goo.gl/tihb2

I did confirm (via @gopro on

I did confirm (via @gopro on twitter) that the digit to the right of the battery icon shows the number of batteries you are using.

"@GoPro The "1" signals you are using 1 battery. If you have the battery backup, you will see a "2" signaling 2 batteries."

Did you reformat your sdhc card to make sure it is not currupted to cause a crash, or even use the HDMI or tv out cable? CCD sensor lets hope is not gone bad.
