From the day I purchased the GoPro HD Hero 3, the battery (with the cam off and, of course, with wifi off) only lasted two or three days.

Now that I have updated with the new firmware it doesnt leak at all. In one week the battery charge level is where it was when I shut down the camera. With the original firmware I had to remove the battery and that was a nuisance. Now everything seems to be OK.

Any one else can confirm this?

That's good to hear and I wouldn't doubt that just a firmware upgrade would help, cause things like this happen with smartphones, in my case the iphone, and Apple did release firmware updates that fix the battery problem.

I also heard going through a proper charging cycle will help a lot too.
