Looks like you have a faulty lens - contact GoPro if its still under warranty.

It is not under warranty but i do have another one with a red light on the back, would you suggest i take that one apart and use the cmos sensor off that one.

If the other one is not working either, but you are sure the sensor is OK, I would go for it. No point in having two faulty cameras when you can use parts to at least get one working.......

Think i will have a go as the other one is not powering up and i don't have anything to lose, i will post an update to see if i was successful.
