Hi,

I want to document the building of a house with a time-lapse video.

Looking after a while, I came up with the GoPro and have also seen that there is a successor, the GoPro Hero2.

What do I want?

I imagine that a camera shoots photos with a delay of some minutes. When the job is done all pictures will be stuck together to a video. That is the theory.

But a house builing takes about 6 months. No battery and no memory card is sufficient for such a long time.
So my idea is following: I connect the GoPro to a PC. The power comes from the PC and the pictures will be written in a folder on the harddisc of the PC.

Is this possible with a GoPro?

I also thought to do that with a webcam, because the connection would be probably easier and it only needs a software to do the job, BUT the video quality and the image area is by far not comparable with a GoPro. That's why it is not an option. It has to be a GoPro!

Can someone help?

Thanks and best regards,
Chris
