local hardware: for me its Home depot the metric drawers. a nylon nut needed, or go to Amazon your region and they sell them the gopro ones.

Shame gopro only includes old stock when the hero 8 media mod was made and its years later, shows the importance of it?

That one would be good but out of all of the listings for thumb screws on Amazon and eBay I can't find any that actually specify the length. When you go to dimensions you get the dimensions of the package. Looks like I'll be shopping at our version of Home Depot.

they are on amazon in this video 45mm

I just noticed on this video Fish that my problem has been inserting the 55mm long screw from the side of the Media Mod that has the recess. When I switch it round to the other side the screw is just long enough to clear the Media Mod case. I can use my fingers or a spanner. Whew! Thank you.

You might want to reconsider whether the size of the screw doesn't matter. Because for my camera it became an important factor. I'm not sure if you've already found what you're looking for, but have you tried checking out https://www.scrooz.com.au/ ? They have screws that are specifically 65mm or longer, they do have a variety of sizes and lengths that might work for your needs.Of course, there are other suppliers out there, so it might be worth doing some comparison shopping before you commit to a purchase. But if you're in a hurry you need to get your hands on some long thumb screws ASAP.
