Hello everyone. I got a GoPro Hero 11 in December 2022. I'm seeing a long streak when facing the sun. I contacted GoPro support and they say it's normal. The streak is in the same position every time, the streak moves with the camera and extends from the sun to the ground. Is this normal? There is also a pink spot that is sometimes visible and moves around (the pink spot is in the upper right on the tall building in the screenshot below but the pink spot moves to different parts of the screen at times or totally disappears randomly or not noticeable for long stretches). I'm going to include a screenshot if the forum allows it. And yes I've tried removing that twist-off replaceable lens on the GoPro and the streak is still there. Thanks.

You should never point any camera facing the sun.

Some did complain of that issue. i never had a streak on mine that bad

@Awindow I suggest,, if you're not happy get a replacement, the two I had never had that. i can not justify spending $500.00 when I got a hero 10 working this is from a hero 11 the two I owned at the time

fwiw.. your sample image looks like the iso is fairly high. For comparison's sake the next time you're able to do a test, (in similar settings) try setting ISO Min 100, Max 200-400, Shutter auto, and your EV Comp to -.05 or -1.0. And yah..best to avoid pointing the camera at the sun whenever possible. Tag me if you do this test as I'm considering an 11 and curious about the lens streak which seems to be a bit more than typical GoPro lens streak/flare. Thx.
