I do lots of timelapse and we are currently building a house. At present there is no power at the site.
I wanted to timelapse some of the build so I tried the timelapse function on my Hero2 but the battery only lasts a few hours. So I bought a 12 v battery and attached the camera via 12v auto socket and a USB charger to it, but it still shuts down after a few hours. I need it to run for a few days. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks

GPH2 constNt time lapse

While the GoPro can be used while charging, they recommend their 1000mAh charger, remember that it takes a regular usb an 80% charge in 1-2 and full in 4 hours. But. You are using that charge at the same time to use the camera.

I would get two Batterey BacPacks. And two 12v lead acid batteries. A small solar consumer trickle charger. Or just a batt charger and charge at home.

Use one BattPac while charging the other at your battery station.

What length time lapse are you using?
