today while out cycling I had my Hero9 mounted upside down under my handlebar and 12 out of the 11 videos I shot ended up crooked in camera. When viewing the footage they started out level then the snapped to a 35 degree angle about a second into the video and stayed that way for the entire clip. Videos play crooked both on screen and after being dumped to a computer.

The only videos that were level were the ones I started when still. This totally ruined the shoot I had planned for the day.

Recording setting were:

5K 24p Linear with horizon leveling
quick capture on (this is how I trigger recordings)
mounted upside down with auto rotate
Firmware 1.22
SD card is a Samsung 256 EVO Plus

I cannot reproduce it indoors.

it works, it just snapped to wrong angle . any chance you started recording while the camera was at this angle?

I was moving on the bike when I started recording, so it was moving a few degrees left and right

i just tested it, and indeed it records video at 45degrees when you start it in that angle. interesting, but certainly not a bug imho
