Need some advice.....I drive a Motorcoach & run two dashcams. One is my Vicovation dashcam for recording traffic out the windshield. The second one, a Mini 805P, is only to stream live view, through an HDMI port to the 6 monitors, for the passengers to watch as we tour. It worked great & the passengers loved it.
I changed bus companies, so the Mini 805P stayed with the previous company & now I am having trouble finding a new quality dashcam with HDMI out. Can I use my Hero 7 to live stream into the HDMI port on the bus, while running constant 12V power, removing the battery & SD card? I figured there wouldn't be a heat issue. Has anyone ever tried this???

I give it a shot. Battery does not need to be in the camera,but will need to manualy turn it on.

you can but you have to manually turn it on and off. plus, if the the SD card is full, it will stop recording
