3+ will power on, can see menu mode selections.
pressing red button will not take video or picture.
battery full. wyfii lites up but will not connect to ipad.
should i upgrade firmware ? I found this gopro, had some pics and vids.
was lost off a boat but not wet. Pics were from 2016.
thanks for any ideas.

Hello and welcome to forum, I would suggest a hard reset, setting to factory settings and also checking the memory card and the record button.

are you referring to the removable battery ? it charges up ok .

Have you tried another memory card first, just to rule out a card issue?

Tried other card, same problem. May take it apart to see if the button is having trouble.
maybe not fixable

Before taking apart, why not turn on, press shutter, see if it accepts the command given.
