I live near a major airport so there are "0" obstructions in the near or surrounding areas . I have read time and time again that a GPS signal cannot be achieved indoors....
However.... As Shown here, The connection to GPS can be achieved indoors. It took less than 45 seconds for the signal.

All just depends upon how strong the signal is in the area, just like cellular data.
Most definitely know how it all works, but it's been proclaimed that you have to be outside in order to receive a GPS signal. I can achieve a solid signal in my house and tested at another home and it works. Wait time was roughly the same. Just the fact that it does in fact work inside is a major plus.
