Hey guys,

I'm going on a trip to the Philippines and I thought it would be cool to mount the camera on my bag so I can get a shot of me going through the airport check-in/boarding process. What I'm not sure about is sending the camera through the X-Ray while it's recording. I thought this in particular would be a really cool shot to get, but I'm not sure it's safe for the camera or even allowed by TSA. Anyone with any insight on this?

Thanks,
Ramon

Best advice is to send the airport administration a request explain what you intend to do and what it will be used for when you will fly etc. If their reply is positive then take a copy of the email with you.
I have taken many photos in airports and never once been asked what I am doing or to stop. However, I have never done this during the security checks although on youtube there is plenty of camera phone footage taken in these areas.
