When I bought this Hero 10 I opted for the subscription because of the free replacement if damaged. I thought it was just a single replacement during the subscription. This guy broke his Hero 10 from a very short fall and GoPro support says it is a $100 replacement fee. Is this true?

Good news is GoPro sent this guy a new Hero 10 for no cost but we don't all have a Youtube channel with a couple thousand subscribers.

Manufacturer defect, free warranty, you drop it, broke the screen, you may be paying for a co-pay, I returned about 6 cameras, all under warranty, never paid a red cent as they all were of manufacturers defect.

Hero 8 button torn, audio input N/a hardware issue
Hero 7 audio input hardware issue
Hero 6 the same
Hero 5 the same
hero 5 session wifi hardware

Yep I see the fees now. They really try to hide the fact that you pay fees to replace though. I understand they are trying to sell cameras but they should say up front that there is a fee and what the fee is instead of having to go search for the fee info.
