GoProEnduro battery is $24.99 plus shipping, Subscription price $19.00, to ship is $15.00, to beat the cost of shipping Is to purchase more than the Min. so it is a wait to Amazon gets it

a great increase cold and hot weather conditions, most likely the chip was changed in the battery

Battery life in hot weather seems to be slightly better, but negligible. Its battery life in the colder weather that has been improved a fair bit - either way, since its only a few extra $ over the standard battery, it seems a no brainer to just buy the Enduro battery either way (if you like to stick with GoPro original that is).
Wonder if the third party manufacturers will be able to replicate whatever GoPro has done here.......

Personally I'm not going to bother - I don't really need it.
If I were to buy another battery though, I'd get this one over standard battery - its a no-brainer (unless on a budget and buying 3rd party of course).
