i have a clip that is over 7mins long that i imported and converted to avi with gopro studio. it plays fine in gopro studio, windows media player and vlc.

if i take the converted clip to premiere pro, its only showing up as 8 seconds.

here's a video showing the problem: youtu.be/WFpUWkh0meY

any ideas?

interesting. I didn't notice the 8 second part in Premiere as very hard to see. I cannot view youtube from this location, but I thought it was 08 : xx : xx which was 8 minutes, some seconds and some frames

in my Premiere 2015, I right click on footage in the Project bin, choose Modify from the pop-up menu, and slide over and choose interprete footage

under frame rate, is the bullet selected that says 'use frame rate from file 59.94000 (actually i do not remember what youtube displayed your frame rate as, I only have 29.9700 samples)

I think Premiere will have the same frame rate as GoPro Studio showed you

Also, if you take that clip and drop it onto 'new item' icon, does Premiere make a sequence, that in sequence settings, gives your same frame rate, same display format, and list it as non-drop timecode?
