I am brand new to GoPro. I have a MacBook Air that is several years old. I could use some reccomendations on edititing software. I don't need anything professional grade - I don't need anything terribly advanced - I don't want to spend a fortune - this is just a for fun hobby for for an old retired guy :sneaky:

TIA

Something like this one : https://www.xp-pen.com/forum-1595.html .
In that list you will find 18 programs with a short description and Pros & Cons for each one of them.
You read that information, you analyze the Pros & Cons of each suggested program and then you pick one to check it out and get a feel for it.
For beginners, iMovie is the best choice because it is pre-installed in apple devices , and therefore no additional cost or effort is needed. It also shields you from all the technical terms and concepts involved in video editing, while still allowing you to create basic videos with up to two layers playing simultaneously, transitions, text and audio.
