I'm about to go and undertake a dive survey on archaeological remains from the Bronze Age through to medieval in north Lebanon, I couldn't resist going out to buy a new Hero 3 (Silver Edition) but hadn't thought about red filter correction and am unlikely to have time to find one as I fly out on Saturday 28th.

Has anyone tried making their own DIY correction filter? I was thinking I might pop into local theaters and see if any of them can spare me some offcuts of red lighting gels from the stage lights? Could this work, would I need a specific hue or colour temperature?

Any suggestions would be great.

Many thanks.

Going to give it a try.

Managed to get myself a load of sample gels from a theater and stage lighting shop, so I'll try a load out and let you know how it goes.
