Hello,

Does anyone happen to know why my gopro hero 5 captures 11 minute 3gig video and my gopro hero 9 captures 5 minute 3gig video? Is there anyway to get the hero 9 to lengthen the video for each capture? Not a big deal, just curious why they do this? Both camera's are shooting the same resolution also when we file using each camera for our ATV rides.

Today we shot nearly 4 hours of video on each. The hero 9 has like 40 files and the hero 5 has like 19. Would be great to somehow lengthen the hero 9 footage to reduce the amount of files. Sizes won't change I get that but hoping to increase length of each one.

as they increased bitrate, check out at gopro, about goprolabs for chaptering, you still are shooting unlimited, but 4 gb chapters

As mentioned above, it will be down to other factors, such as increased bit rate. Also have you checked the frame rates in use?
