when i try to update in GoPro Quik I get this error -

COULD NOT COMPLETE UPDATE try again or contact support

Support tells me to get an SD adapter
I do not see file in Quik either!

How can I update my 8 blk without an adapter?

took me an hr to get THAT info finally out of 2 diff agents at gopro.... one agent asked me 3 x what kind of camera i had!

do you think after the update through the app I should be discover my files in FINDER? In Quik (which I dont like and dont use)
NOPE! do not see camera in FINDER after Update. nightmare continues

You are a Macantosh user, I am not, but I will tell you this, I don;t use Desktop Quick, it crashes 99% the time, on windows 10 I am sure @Ifti he is a mac user but he may not have the time to work issues out, if he does he will chime in and offer his advice:

I have never connected my camera to my computer before. I always tend to remove the memory card and connect the card directly to my computer via a Thunderbolt 3 Dock that I have. I just find this much more reliable.
In addition, sorry but I do not use any of the GoPro software. I import my video from the memory card directly to Final Cut Pro and edit from there!....

have you tried to update it from your phone as another option
