    Hi. Newbie here. Has anyone else had problems getting an external mic to work with a Hero3+Silver ? I've bought what purports to be a genuine gopro lead (1 of 3 I bought) but get no sound. Have tried 3 different microphones.

    So, I have two GoPros (Hero 3 Blacks) and one external microphone... Do I need to somehow "turn off" the internal mic on the other GoPro--the one without the ext mic connect to it? .
