I bought a GoPro Hero 8 Black for my Snowboarding, but I want to use it for another purpose, I cycle to work and I've had a few near misses with cars, I usually ride with a helmet cam, but the image quality is poor compared to the GoPro.
I usually want to get 1hr 30min worth of filming...
I was just planning to upgrade to gp7, came across multiple user issues with battery drain in gp7. Just wondering if the issue is fixed or I need to check for another option. Battery is a priority for me during vlogs.

I know I can run the gopro from a 5v 1150ma phone charger without the battery inside but is it safe.I dont know if 5 volt will do harm to the gopro.It seem useful to for long timelapses.so anyone have any insights on the matter
