Boznoz that is perfectly normal, its a touch screen and salt is conductive. You should always lock your screen when you are going under water with it to prevent from random switching of settings. You can find this option on the first page when you pull down settings menu.

Also i advise you to get yourself a diving case if your intended use is snorkeling / diving or you risk drowning your gopro.

Problems with sea water operation

I don't know if this pertains only to sea water, but this is what I found, when using my Hero 7 Black yesterday whilst snorkeling.

1) It often switches from video mode to Time Lapse mode once put into water, not 100% but often enough to be very annoying.

2) It is not possible to use the touch screen whilst under water.

Are there ongoing issues with the above, or is it just me!?
