Hero Basic Camera lens protectors

So i have just got the Hero entry level camera, as it has an integrated case parts cannot be changed like on the other Hero's. This has me a little worried tbh, if the lens cover gets scratched or damaged it could effectively put an end to my camera! Are there any lens covers or solutions to keeping the lens safe?
I was toying with the idea of cutting a mobile phone screen protector to size and using that.........not sure how much it would affect the picture quality though.

An excellent question, yes there are lens protectors out there.

If this site is a true gopro site they have all the camera's in hand for us, even parts and accessories, for us to we can, help gather that info easier, but it is NOT, and they rely on us to seek out that info.

Ebay your research

I would have suggested ragecam, if they have something there

a Slow site is joining and leaving lets make this a better site by staying around and participating.Vsit my

Lens cover compatability

Like the OP I'm concerned about scratching the lens on my plus when it's in storage are any of the lens covers sold for other cameras compatible? None of them seem to list the hero plus.

Thanks in advance
