Oh of course - any cameras EIS will be nowhere near as good as a external gimbal solution, but the camera itself does a pretty good job for basic use - such as walking steadily with a handgrip for example. Anything more then that and you'd still need a mechanical solution. I'm just not one for anything more extreme! lol

Starting to wonder if that statement isn't premature, Ifti. Looking at some of the YT reviews of 360 cams with 6 axis electronic stabilization. They're **** good!

Removu K1 received - not tested yet, but truly impressed with quality of the design as well as construction so far!! Looks awesome!

Hey, I can't find a P1 cradle (Removu P1C) anywhere, including Removu. Anybody know where I can buy one? Thanks.

Do you have same issue or is it maybe a firmware problem?
Ciao Rob
Same thing on a Feyiutech G4 or G5. It seems they have an angle limitation. You cannot change the pitch angle more than (let's say 80 degrees). The panning head will jump to the right with few degrees ruining your shot.

After using a Feyiutech and a Sony action cam for over 18 months I am waiting for my B-day gift, a Hero 6 and a gimbal. Having a shutter button it's a must, a selfie mode feature and able to charge the camera from the gimbal are nice to have. I know the limitation of the Feyiu G5 (the paning head jumping few degrees when the pitch angle reaches around 80 degrees - imitating the crane motion) so I am looking right now to get the Freevision Vilta. It seems to be much better than the Removu S1.

im voting for Feiyu G5, its perfect for the price (well under 200euro, i got mine for 150 on sale). you can charge your device from it, you can control it remotely using phone app, splashproof so rain is no problem and it can be mounted using tripod mount either on the bottom or from the side, so its relatively easy to mount it on handlebars of your bike or chestmount (it just wont look that good compared to specialized mountable gimbals)

After all that, I'm finding the Removu S1 to be really really good. So I'm a satisfied customer.

In the end I would have been thrilled to have a truly waterproof unit. This, like a few others, is spalshproof/rainproof. Not that I've had any problems whatsoever, but eventually I'll have it on front of my kayak in saltwater environment, so don't know how well it will handle that.

I know that it's quite a difficult thing to make one of these truly dunkproof, much less in salt water, and that adds to the expense. i would have paid the extra for that capability, though. So far it appears no manufacturer has bothered.

Only other thing I would have wished for would have been an on/off button on the handle for the Gopro functioning itself. S1 doesn't have that, and I see almost no one but Gopro Karma does. I have a remote and a Removu P1, so I can fix that issue, but it would have been best not to have to take your eyes off the subject nor put your hands onto the moving camera on the gimbal when flicking the filming on/off switch.

Did you have a look at Freevision Vilta? It has the shutter button and you can also change the camera mode or take a picture while you are video recording.
