Go Pro fish eye correction (Black 7)

Dear Go Pro users,

I' have currently quite some photos taken with the Black 7, all in fish eye look. I have installed photoshop and would like to correct most of the photos back to linear. This is easily done, but is there a loss of quality? in other words, is it better to shoot the pics in linear?

I did read somewhere that it was better to capture everything in fish eye/super view so you have all the options later with editing.

Kind regards,
Mark

Hallo and welcome to the forum!
The best way is to shot in linear though the quality loss after correcting in post isn't so much.

Trademark lens is FISHEYE.
Shoot SUper-view if you want it all to show instructional or learning. shoot wide to get it all in that lil extra landscape scene, shoot linear if you want that traditional 35mm look

all has to do with the sensor,c ropping etc. to do it in superview and crop, pan in a vid is a losss of quality as wel zoomed in on the camera. my thought out loud

If Linear is allowed for FOV what I be in

Thanks for the replies! For now I'll convert them form Superview to Linair because the photo's looks a lot better (natural lines instead of round). I'll see it the quality difference is noticeble on the photo-book.

Kind regards,
Mark
