lanyard as safety backup for helmet mount?

Hello,

I just got a Hero 5 and will soon use it on my 6 & 8 year olds ski helmets.

I am a little afriad it may come off when they fall or crash and they don't notice.**

Is there any product or home made do it yourself solution to attach some piece of string to it so if it falls off it is still attached to them.* Don't need anything fancy just something to act as a back up safety net.

Hello,
I would try to make a DIY solution but without knowing your helmet, case/mount it's not easy...
You can also try to google "safety leash gopro" and find many results.
Good luck and maybe we will see your solution.

Just make sure that your lanyard is very short! Otherwise, you risk injury to them. I know that sounds kind of obvious, but you'd be surprised at how much dangerous stuff people put on kids' helmets that can exert leverage on their necks in a fall or otherwise.
