GPS no longer working

My last few outings with GPS enabled has resulted in Quik telling me my GPS isn't on!? It is and has been for a while, but the icon on the GoPro appears to be greyed out. I'm running v2 firmware and I'm considering downgrading the firmware to see if this helps. I've already done a factory reset and its the same.

Anyone else experiencing this issue?

Well that was a frustrating online help from GoPro, after spending over an hour going around in circles I've worked out for myself what is wrong and what is going on....

Changing the orientation of my camera stops my GPS from working

Upright fast fix
Upside down same location no fix

GoPro thinks the issue is related to where I am
They also stated if I attempted to downgrade my camera it voids the warranty

Not a good first experience with GoPro support.

mine is placed upside in the car so will let you know if its working or not later, if not then i'll try right way up & see if it gets gps then

In fairness he did suggest reflashing the update and post doing this the situation has improved. Will be interesting on my next bike ride to see if I can get a fix. I would expect 24 miles is long enough for a fix :-P

Makesure you are in aclear wide open spot, also make sure you are not on concrete that has a ton of Metal under you.

I placed mine on a day that looked good and nothing and in an wide open area to a fully enclosed aircraft. it can be more than what we think?

reflash manually cn clear up or downgrading but FW 2.0 may or may not work for all to many bugs, and I already got a few from the start lol
