Studio vs. Quick

New here. is there a way to do a movie on the desktop version of Studio like the Quick app? the templates in Studio seem very restrictive and can't modify much. i like the Quick app in that you can choose different music and themes for a show. and it kind of takes your clips and makes a fast paced movie. but the Quick app on my tablet is taking up alot of space (with clips and output) and is why i want to have something like it on the desktop. is that possible? thanks

Download GoPro studio to your laptop/desktop. Remove the SD card, load directly to a folder on your desktop and then import into Gopro studio from there. Make sure you go to our "Documented Tutorial" section to learn what the requirments for gopro studios are so that your computer will run it correctly. You can import music from your library directly into the timeline in Gopro studio.

Cheers,
Charlie

Quik is a Mobile app, it is not for a computer desktop catered to mobile phones, unless they make a desktop version down the road, you're going to have to create your own work (Smiles)

Look at Fastcut from Magix, then. or other desktop editors

Have you explored the option of adding more storage to your iPad? GoPro Studio is not very versatile, so this might be a better way of going about things.

Quik offers Music a good number lets say 100 music titles while how many with Studio, Understanding you can put any mp3 song to a editor,

Understanding the OP how he wants to use something that is simply put in the editor, let it do the work for you.

Quik for Desktop and Free Music provided by GoPro for Studio

So I know this is an old post but just for anyone coming to it now. Quik is available for desktop

Also, music is also available for free to use in GoPro Studio. You can find it by following the FREE MUSIC link on the GoPro Awards page

Yes there is a Desktop version of Quick but it functions completely different from the mobile version. So much so that it is not possible to achieve the same end result with the two. They should not share the same name IMO.

Like the OP, I love the ease of use with Quick mobile. It does a pretty good job literally in a few clicks. Yes you do not have as much control as with a full editing program (like Studio) but I think it does 70-80% the job I could achieve on Studio in a fraction of the time. (5 mins, compared to 2-3 hours) This just gives me more time to go out and shoot!

Maybe this is just an indication of how bad I am with GP Studio. lol
