Syncing audio with video for Guitar Playthrough

Hey guys I'm new to the forums and using a GoPro. So basically I recorded me playing guitar to one of my songs. Opened the GoPro video editor and loaded the video in and the song I wanted to play over the video of me playing guitar. I ran into a problem when I tried to line up the audio with the timing of the video. I couldn't move rather ever so slightly so that I could get them almost exactly synced up. It would only let me move them somewhat drastically left or right and it was always off by a bit and it wasn't my guitar playing that was off time. Please help with this issue. All I want to do is make guitar play through videos. Thanks.

Doing something like that, go towards a program like CyberLink Power Director. I have video Studio and I can't get output files to render correctly or it just closes. I've moved away from VideoStudio. CyberLink is pretty nice and racy to do what you need to do.

Yes can easily be done but using the wrong app or recorders will cause the off synching.
