Question TRUE slow motion app for Android?

Are there any TRUE slow motion apps that you know of? I'm talking about an app that takes my 100fps footage and plays it back at 25fps for a smooth 1/4 playback, not these garbage apps that just cut out 75% of the frames and plays back a choppy slow motion.

I've tried too many of the top slow motion apps, video editors and converters but all of them fail to offer this seemingly simple solution.

Please only respond if you have an experience with app that can do it.

Welcome to the forum. You do realize this is a GoPro Forum right? Maybe somebody here can help you but I guess we will see.

Cheers,
Charlie

Have you tried the Quik or splice apps from GoPro?
They should offer some option to do slow motion.

Thanks for your response.
Yes, I do realize this is a GoPro forum, I'm getting my footage from my gopro and therefore I'm asking here.

I've tried the quik app but like all the others, do not offer me any way to make use of the high frame rate for my slow motion?

I just don't get it, am I missing something? I bought the camera for the high frame rate, thinking this would be excellent for recording myself doing sports and lifting to improve myself. I could see everything in good quality slow motion. But there is no way for me to do that on the fly? Every single app I've tried (going on 200 now) either play the 100fps video in 100fps or render it down to 25/30 fps and then give me choppy slow motion.

I mean, come on! The whole brand of gopro is super slick action slow motion yet there is no way to get that without a computer with an editing software? Surely I must be missing something! I'm just so incredibly frustrated that this seemingly logical, simple, useful approach to use my fancy camera with all those frames is an impossible task!

Are you just wanting to do quick edits on the phone without worrying about using a computer at all?

Cheers,
Charlie

You have a Smartphone, and the Itunes store. i suggest to search for Slow motion Apps and if you choose free one's or paid one's you are better to try the free one's until some one here who has a paid one can confirm its thebetter of them all?

I know it is a goproforum.com....

hope we answered your question.

i'm afraid the problems not with your GoPro, but afraid your phone. Your phone is only accessing a low res version of the video. This is done due to the low memory/processing power of phones. Although the GoPro app & Quik do give access to the media files on the camera, it is purely done as a quick & sort of temporary way to view/edit the video. The only way to do it properly is via a PC

Yes! And no, I just want to watch my 100fps video at 25fps to get a cool slow motion video on my phone. That's all!

@Fish first of all, I have an Android phone, not an iPhone. Secondly, like I said in the OP, I've tried most if not all slow motion apps available, none of them play my 100 fps video at 25 fps. They all render my video to 25/30 fps and then they add duplicate frames and motion blur to "create" slow motion.

@p fandango. I realize my problem is not with my GoPro camera, I never said that and that's why I'm looking for an app. Most modern phones have plenty of memory/processing power to do all sorts of crazy things. And I'm not just "accessing my media files on the camera", I'm transfering them to my phone. I'm not looking for doing a full feature film edit on my phone (although some of the apps out there seemingly would handle that). I just want to play a 100 fps video at a normal 25 fps. I would think it took far less (if almost any) processing power to do that instead of creating duplicate frames and motion blur like those slow motion apps seem to do.

Thanks.
